Child Development and Education Circle (CDEC)

The Child Development and Education Circle (CDEC) is a non-stock, non-profit organization of Miriam College whose members are students currently enrolled in Child Development and Education. CDEC seeks to equip and empower the next generation of teachers and instills the values of unity, discipline and excellence in every CDE student.

The Child Development and Education (CDE) Department of Miriam College provides a holistic curriculum for students who wish to pursue a career in early education, specifically in the formation of preschool and elementary education school students. CDE students are trained in the craft of molding young children for productive involvement in their home, school and community environments. They are ultimately expected to play a major role in society as agents of change and development.

As an organization, the CDEC fosters unity among the students of Child Development and Education, enhances the over-all growth and development of its members, and encourages and cultivates social consciousness among its members.
